TLC vote October 7th

Costa Ricans are getting ready to vote on what just might be the most important vote in the country’s history. Polls indicate that the country is divided in half and everyone is waiting to see if they sign the trading agreement with the United States. Costa Ricans feel that the TLC would create more jobs, however they are afraid of not being able to compete with world powers in a free trade atmosphere. From what I have been hearing, most people seem to be saying yes to the TLC, leaving the majority of the no votes coming from students and by employees of state monopolized services such as telephone and cable.
