Samara Pacific Lodge

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Samara Peace Lodge. This cute lodge is located about two minutes from the main section of the Samara beach town. The owners, who I think were French, were wonderful and ensured we felt right at home.

Samara as a whole was not what we were expecting. There was absolutely no nightlife with the exception of a bar located directly on the beach. Maybe it’s just that we did not know where to go in Samara. What I liked most about the Samara Pacific Lodge was the pool area. My wife and I truly enjoy spending time by the pool and had plenty of time to catch up on our reading pool side during our three night stay.

If I had to come up with a negative it would be that we had no ocean view, and it almost feels like a crime to stay somewhere with no ocean view. When we looked for other hotels however, they were either overpriced, or badly taken care of. The Samara Pacific Lodge had very good rates and the grounds were the best taken care of that we found anywhere in Samara.

In my opinion, this hotel is perfect for those looking for a quiet getaway in Costa Rica. I would not recommend this for anyone looking for a beach town with lots to do.
