Punta Uva Beach
Punta Uva Beach, is in fact, one of the most beautiful beaches in the entire country. Punta Uva Beach has calm waters throughout making it ideal for those who want to relax and not have to deal with large waves all day, which is common at most beaches in Costa Rica. Punta Uva is located on the Atlantic Coast and is about 15 minutes from the well known beach town of Puerto Viejo. There is a great little bar/restaurant behind the beach with very reasonable prices. There is nothing like being able to drink a cold beer on the beach for less than $2.

This beach is a must see if you are in the Puerto Viejo area. There are almost no “cringos” there! There is a nice walking trail (need hiking sandals; flip flops are dangerous) that has a breath taking view!
Punta Uva is a wonderful beach where you can snorkel and enjoy a great sea life as well
