Nidia Lodge is located in Monteverde, one of the cloud forests of Costa Rica. Nidia offers three types of rooms, Standard, Deluxe and Junior Suite. Some of the highlights of this hotel are a garden Spa and Jacuzzi, bar and restaurant. They also offer free wireless internet, however, the reception is not the greatest. I stayed at Nidia Lodge a few years ago, and must admit I was a little disappointing. The entire hotel has a lovely wooden charm, however, my standard room was very basic and did not even have a t.v. I was told that I should have asked for a Jr. Suite, as those rooms are much better equipped. Another negative is the location. It is located on a side road and is too far to walk to. I strongly recommend renting a car if you stay here. This hotel is ideal for those traveling on a tighter budget to Costa Rica but still want to feel safe and comfortable.
