La Paz Waterfalls
La Paz waterfall is technically only one waterfall, although it is actual one of five consecutive waterfalls located in Heredia. Prior to the private project of La Paz Waterfalll Gardens to develop a trail in the jungle to see all five waterfalls, La Paz was the only waterfall visible from the road. Now there are over 3.5 kilometers of trails.
Now, people can visit La Paz Waterfalls and experience many different sights and sounds. The entrance is expensive for Costa Rican standards with an entrance price of $40 USD, but one can spend an entire day in the complex. Also located at La Paz Waterfalls is the world´s largest butterfly garden, a hummingbird center, serpentarium, Frog exibit, and of course the five waterfalls. A center for exotic birds was recently created, along with a Monkey center where white face and squirrel monkeys call home.
