For those of you wanting to make a special trip to see a butterfly garden I will make a serious suggestion, make sure you the the one at the La Paz Waterfall Gardens in the Central Valley. This place is home to the world´s largest butterfly garden and promises to teach you more about these amazing creatures than any place else.
My favorite part about this butterfly garden is watching the butterflies hatch from their cocoons. They pin hundreds of cocoons for all to see and observe. In total the butterfly garden is home to fourteen different species, the most famous being the blue morpheus. It takes about 30 minutes to see completely, although a butterfly lover could easily get lost there for much longer than that. The reason I suggest going here and not somewhere else is primarily because there are many other things to see and do at this place, whereas most other gardens only have butterflies.
Whatever garden you decide to visit, there is one rule that applies to all: Please watch where you step!
