Baalbek Restaurant

Great views, decent service, and overpriced menu basically sums up this restaurant. Located in the mountains of San Rafael, Baalbec caters to the upper class of the area. This large restaurant offers four different environments to its clients. A lounge area, main restaurant and bar are all nice to eat at, but my favorite place is the open air upstairs area where you can lean on a counter and take in a view that is hard to beat. There are also a couple of small rooms you can reserve with a fireplace for more privacy. These rooms are as good for romance as they would be for business. Baalbec’s specialty is Mediterranean food. Not the best in Costa Rica, but is still tasty. The biggest drawback has to be the pricey menu. EXT gives Baalbec a rating of 4/5.
